A LITTLE BACKGROUND FIRST
Like many people I too volunteer some of my spare time to a special causes.
For some time I have been performing, on a volunteer bases for The Lealman
Center, here in St. Pete.
There, I met Lisa Martin. Over time we chatted about many things and once
she informed me she had a son in Afghanistan.
I have a special place in my heart for the men and women who serve our
country, so I asked if he had anything particular he would like that he can't get
their. She told me about a special candy he likes.
Well, make a long story short, I found where I could get the candy and over
the last year or so would send him packages of goodies.

A WONDERFUL SURPRISE
I was performing at the Blue Parrot that night and while I was telling the
audience we were going on a break, I saw Lisa's son Orico walking toward the
stage.

AN HONOR
Senior Airman Orico D Martin presented me with the flag and certificate you
see pictured below.
I can not begin to express how proud I am to have this flag in my home. Not to
mention, humbled by this wonderful gesture.
